The Japanese government will not disclose patents related to advanced technologies in hypersonic flight, space, and cyberspace
According to a report by Japan's Yomiuri Shimbun, the Japanese government will not disclose advanced technology patents related to hypersonic flight, space, and cyberspace under the enacted Economic Security Promotion Law. It is expected that the Japanese cabinet will approve this guideline as early as April this year. Patent protection will be implemented by May 2024. In principle, patents are made public one and a half years after application. The draft guidelines cover patent protection for areas that may have a significant impact on national security and areas that may seriously harm production and life.
